J. Stapleton [or an apprentice of his] rifle as it is so much like my other Stapleton #100927-3. It is signed differently, but the engraving looks like the same hand. Stock shape, PB, side plate, front trigger, and many other features are nearly the same.

Barrel: 39in. .375in.bore, rifled, slight taper breech to muzzle 1 1/64- 15/16in.
Lock with half cock and fly.
Fancy front DST.
Butt plate: H-3 1/4in. W-1in.
LOP: 11 15/16in.
OAL: 54 1/4in.
