Title: Goes W/Pouring A Band/ A Fix
Post by: Tim Crosby on August 10, 2017, 04:29:31 PM
When I filed the band down I found a hole, so I decided to try something. Rolling out a snake of clay for a dam I formed it around the hole and pressed it down around the edges. I heated the Pewter a little longer hoping once the new hit the hole it would melt it and the two would bond better, it did. Once filed and sanded off it looks like a one time pour.
I post this because I have read of folks getting voids in a nose cap pours and this may work as a repair.
