Title: new rifle by Eric Kettenburg on the Contemporary blog
Post by: bob in the woods on November 28, 2017, 01:26:00 AM
Haven't seen a new build by Mr Kettenburg in a while. This one is a beauty !  Simple, yet elegant , with lots of details to ponder.
One of my favourite builders  :)

Holy cow, thanks for the compliment!  I appreciate it very much.  That gun is at least 10+ years old, built it for a friend who wanted a really folky primitive kind of thing.  He used it for a few years then brought it back and wanted it aged up to an increased degree - I think it looked even better the second time around but unfortunately I never took photos.

May I ask what stain you utilized for the decorative designs ?   I have seen at least a couple of your folk art stained rifles before, and  really really like the effect.

Sharp rifle. I love the folk art pieces and Eric is a pro at it. Thanks for sharing.
