Do you have a machine or do you hand stitch all of that?

Beautiful, impressive piece!  Every gentleman needs a set!  Just out of curiosity, what weight is the leather...it looks pretty thick.

Many call it a portmanteau, some call it a grip and it seems those into 18th century documentation are currently using the term valise. You won't be wrong with any of those terms in my company.

I went back and checked the weight of the leather used (actually just fumbled upon a piece from that hide) and it is 10 oz. not 12.

Thanks James. I looked for it on your table at the CLA, but didn’t see it...I was hoping to see it first-hand.  The bags I did see were pretty darned impressive, though!
