Title: Lewis Ginger barrel
Post by: Cory Joe Stewart on April 25, 2019, 04:03:55 AM
I am working with a buddy to research a collection and I believe i have a Lewis Ginger barrel.  It was in a CVA Hawken stock.  Evidence of the under rib are on the bottom.  Any thoughts

Lewis Ginger worked as a gunsmith in Preble County, Ohio and Penn township, Indiana. He was born in Virginia. Looks to me like the barrel was cut at the breech and set back. Nice signature.
