Just got a hand forged hawk and was thinking of ways to protect the metal from rust and enhance the finish.
Was thinking of using some LMF barrel brown solution. Has anyone done this or do you have any other ideas?

I browned an Estwing camp axe a few years ago. It looked pretty good when finished.

Here's one of my wrought iron axes that I kind of rust blued.

The one on the top is rust blued. The lower one simply polished.
