Hello. Boredom is a sad thing. :(
I been thinking of about another .32, but remembering I like the look of Tradition Crockett rifle. Rather than being a cap lock, wouldn't it be nice if it was a flintlock. Now, I am not asking if I can slap a lock on it. I'm thinking of having one built with a Rice A weight 3/4in. straight barrel in .32 with Chambers Late Ketland lock, lightning vent liner with a nice maple half stock.
At this point, i am just day dreaming, but if i call a builder, say like Tip Curtis or Sitting Fox, would they make one for me or would they just hang up on me?

I built a half stock mountain rifle once. It was pretty similar to what your are referring to.

Oh, so it's based on a actual style. I assume that it was a fantasy piece.

Sounds like you need a Jim kibler southern mountain rifle in 32 it isn't exactly what you're asking for but you won't be disappointed in it I don't think. And I believe you could put it together without any problems .just my humble opinion

I do not know if the exact architecture is based on a particular style or not. But yes, you have half stock long rifles.

I already have one of his SMR. I also have 5 CZ 452 too. I love small caliber rifles. ;D

If you call Tip Curtis he will probably tell you what HE thinks you should build. If so, listen to him. He has a ton of experience and you might learn something valuable.
I have no idea about Sitting Fox. They remain a dark hole to me that I can't seem to glean any facts from.

I thought the Tradition's Crockett was a fantasy rifle.
Then there is this one, Taylor re-worked for me.

I owned a Crockett for many years and loved it. Can't remember what forum but years ago a guy with a Crockett had it converted to flint with nothing replaced except the lock, IIRC. It did require machining away the bolster. Below is my poorboy SMR but with a full stock. It's a .36 rather than a .32 but has the 3/4" barrel. Though longer than the Crockett it weighs about the same or maybe a little less.

I have an original Penebaker rifle in .35 (1842) that has been in my family forever. It is a 1/2 stock with 40" 3/4" octagon barrel. It is percussion, and it looks like a "Crockett" except it has a hooked but plate, and more drop at the comp and a maple stock. So the concept is not foreign.

Somebody should be banned for something, I just got that feeling.... :P

Nemovir, not familiar with the Traditions Crocket but working on a similar idea. The lower rifle is an original, such as it is. The upper one in the photo I’m building as a flintlock. I think the old gun was .36. New one is .45.

How about a lottery? Everyone's name gets put in a hat and the winner gets banned. That's the democratic way and is, at least, fair. 8)

So when does the boiling vat of hot oil come in?? ;-)

Yes, this is I’m thinking of. Does any know if Tip sell these type? I know I could call him, but I don’t want to bother him if I not willing open my wallet at this time.

Postpone the Guillotine for a while.Actually IMHO a neat little English style half stock like Smart Dog made
would be a dandy in 32 caliber.Fine lines, balance and fast handling for sure.

I was thinking a FREE lottery. But if the hot oil option is taken out I'll buy 5! 8)

Your Idea would make a fine Rook rifle.

Fantasy or not, Daryl, that's quite nice.

I want Daryl and Taylor's family to adopt me, then Taylor can make ME such a nice "fantasy rifle".
Hmmmm. Craig Sapergia - sounds ok to me!
