Rifling Bench by Randy Weitzel
« on: July 03, 2011, 07:40:21 PM »
Randy built this  rifling bench in 1990 because he wanted to do one the old
fashioned way.  He cut two barrels with it.  It turned out to have a 1 in 58 inch
twist and the guns turned out to be very accurate.  I stopped to visit him
yesterday and he showed me a couple Bedfords and a JP Beck he made.  His
carving and engraving are top notch.  Randy grew up in Bedford and started
building at age 16.  He's built 65 rifles to date.   Many thanks to Randy for
giving me his rifling bench for my gunsmith display.
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.
