My Primer Horn
« on: September 10, 2008, 02:45:38 PM »
Well, another attempt at scrimshaw using a metal graving tool this time. Reminds me of buzz buzzard the cartoon character. I'm still having fun :D!http://i445.photobucket.com/albums/qq171/joelhall452/P1000061.jpg[/img]]  http://i445.photobucket.com/albums/qq171/joelhall452/P1000063.jpg[/img]]

Joel,

Not to bad, looks like a nice little folk art horn.

Thanks Randy, folky yes for a guy who was born with four thumbs and a trigger finger on his right hand ;D! I am very thankful for the trigger finger though. Actually, the scrim eagle took me all of 15 minutes to draw and carve. May do better if I apply myself and take more time. I do like the old horns that were scratched out by a bored hunter or soldier. Awesome if they put dates and places on them.
