i had gotten a buttplate off reaves and it was 1/2" short.and then i emailed dennis back and forth over some he had,but i have made my own and i am so proud of it.made it out of a brass water nipple and some brass plate.no curve at all to it.and the extension in round.i filed a groove at the front of the extension.it is really cool.i really like reaves brass as it is very soft.i also had gotten a trigger guard off him.it shines up so nice.but the feeling of making your own parts is way better......will post pics as soon as i fiqure out how.hope it is same as other board.

Lew, that Reaves brass can be pounded out a far as you need it to go, for future reference. Anneal it before it workhardens too much, and pound some more.
