Frantz Wallner Jaeger great carving!
« on: October 05, 2008, 05:38:10 AM »
The pictures of this jaeger were taken at the CLA show. I had post two others on a single page but have now rearranged the web sits so each jaeger is on its own page. All three pages are linked off a new page with some selected pictures from the show-- see second link below.

When would you date this fine rifle?  1750-1760?
Andover, Vermont

"Malatzka"...sounds very Czech.  Bohemia/Moravia?
When a reenactor says "They didn't write everything down"   what that really means is: "I'm too lazy to look for documentation."

Do you have any idea when that rifle came to this country?

Thanks, Tim C.

PS: The photos of the 08 CLA show on your site once again show me things I missed and I was there two days. Thanks

Did you look at the A. Berneck jaeger with the wooden hardware?

Thanks for posting these pics Gary. Great stuff.
