Vore, Ben 110602-3

Ben Vore, this rifle is 32 calibre and is pictured in Bedford, Somerset and Fulton county gunsmiths page 144.

Comments:

This appears to be a good representative example of a 'plain' Bedford rifle. Condition looks to be pretty darn fine. Vore was not a star in the universe of gaudy Bedford makers, but his guns were always attractive and well made. It may be that when he was in production, the desirability of ornamentation had passed its zenith.

Benny Vore was NOT a Somerset Co gunsmith. When he was away from Bedfprd Co it was in WV. In all liklihood he made few if any guns in WV but what he made in PA he made in BEDFORD County.
