Just finished up my first build from a parts set. Last time I did something like this was in the 70's when i put together a Mountain Rifle kit.
It's a parts set from Mold&Gun Shop of their Type D. 20 ga. tapered Oct/Rd barrel, plain maple stock stained with Homer Danglers Lt Brown followed by his red stain; all rubbed back a little and finished with 3 coats of BC sealer/filler and 8 coats of TruOil. Last coat rubbed back and topped with MinWax paste wax.
