J.S. Burson  ( By R. J. Baitinger)

His home and shop

His guns on display by Robert J. Baitinger

Family Historical Data

(NOTE: Gun #13 was made by J.S. Burson's bother,  Henry )

Gun #1  (Numbered at the barrel signature "299")

Gun #2 ( Numbered at the barrel signature "380"    I believe this was his personal gun. The side plate has J.S.B. in large letters on it and the barrel is signed in a box which is different from his usual rectangular boxes. The shape of the box he used to sign in is also duplicated on the bottom of the trigger guard. There is also a silver inlay on the stock below the tang. )

Gun #3  ( Numbered at the barrel signature "366")

Gun #4

Gun #5

Gun #6 ( numbered at the barrel signature "462")

Gun #7

Gun # 8 ( numbered at the barrel signature "444")

Gun # 9

Gun #10

Gun #11

Gun #12

Gun # 462 is shown above, demonstrating that he made at least that many guns in his career.

Gun #13 ( This gun made by Henry Burson, (Brother of J.S Burson)
