Wow - I was lucky enough to handle this a few months ago while in progress - it's a beautiful rifle and shoulders just so.  I second Rich in that I love the creativity that went into this rifle.  Many of us (myself included) get so focused on historical authenticity that we lose sight of the opportunities for creativity and imagination.  I think Dave blended creativity with authenticity in this piece so that nothing about it looks out of place.  Way to go Dave!

Dave, you would have been adopted eagerly into the family .... or else run off for raising the standard!!! that is a beautiful rifle!!! Your detailing just adds the creative touch to make it unique.  Now I have to be even more careful!
