130510-1 Northampton Smooth Rifle

Comments:

In my opinion, this piece is really a smooth-rifle given that it has a cheek piece and a rear sight, whereas fowlers do not. A minor point though, given the subject at hand. This is a superb Bucks County gun, one which has all of the subtle nicities found in that school, without the ginger bread. The eye is quickly drawn to the sleek lines of the profile, the overlall great condition, and the long barrel. This is one that we all wish we could find.

A wonderful, honest looking gun.  The condition is just the way I like to see them, showing use but not abuse.  This is a smooth rifle, not a fowler.
