Pair of Kentucky Pistols
« on: June 29, 2014, 06:29:28 AM »
I was examining the James Julia auction that we were informed about and found further down a pair of kentucy pistols that I had the pleasure of holding at one time. They were in converted to percussion at that time. They were found in a dresser in a barn in PA some where by an acquaintance of mines family. They didn't want them and sent them out to him to figure out their worth.  He asked me to make him a set of these pistols for him and I could have them for the purpose of a bench copy. I didnt have a secure place to keep them and so declined. I was however able to take a mold of the pistol that was rifled. Kind of cool to see them again looking so flinty. ;D
