Outstanding!  There is nothing about the rifle that I would question - completely believable.  The clarity of the finish is wonderful.  I must talk to you about that.  There is nothing muddy or obscured.  The figure and the carving are prominent as a result.  Just delightful!!

Really like the lock. The whole thing is good. The only thing I could be critical of is the lock in historical "effort" exceeds the rest. Not quality , but effort.  In other words, some good gun maker obtained a high effort Kuntz lock and put it on his simpler work. That's believeable.

Beautiful gun,.. love the carving and the finish. I've read about the dragons blood here and there and watched some videos of instrument makers using it on you-tube.  Turned out excellent.

Dragon's blood was used by the Romans, and probably before that. In the 18th Cent, it was used in violin finishes.

It's quite light-fast. I did a test piece and stored it in a South facing window for five years. It shows very little fading.
