Right-hand AND left-hand percussion locks?
« on: July 31, 2014, 08:22:26 AM »
Please identify currently manufactured matching right- and left-hand percussion locks that are satisfactory for pistols. While I prefer back actions, small size is more important.

Aaaah! Probably the best possible answer. I was unaware that Mr. Chambers offered many left-hand percussion locks.

Naphtall; Sir, L & R has a small back action lock for small pistols. I'm not sure about right and left hand locks. AJ.

Not really....it's just an endorsement which doesn't answer the question of all currently manufactured locks.  If you go to TOTW you will probably see 99% of available R&L locks available.

The only right and left hand matching locks we offer are the large Siler flint, percussion and mountain style.  We do not have any of the pistol size locks in left hand.

The first person I would ask has a name that rhymes with "Bob Roller".

Seek and ye shall find.

And he is not taking any orders. I've been patiently waiting and wanting one of his locks for a while now.

As of this typing, the only locks that approach my wants are - wait for it - Pedersoli's Howdah pistol locks.

There are several nice right-handed percussion pistol locks. These locks are not available left-handed, though.

Fortunately, I've got about 45 days until I want to acquire a set.
