Lancaster Smoothbore
« on: September 01, 2014, 10:40:55 PM »

This "smoothrifle" has a 48" ,54 caliber, octagon to round barrel by Larry Horrigan. The left handed lock is a Chamber's large Siler. The butt plate and trigger guard are from Reeves Goering . The curly maple stock was shaped down from a plank. There is a 1/4" cast off and a 14 1/2" length of pull.  Wood and metal has an aged finish. This has yet to be fired and sighted in: the front sight will most likely be lowered

Me too. Some of us are tall and long of neck. I'm stocking one for trap and starting at 15".

And, very nice work.
