Set trigger for pistols
« on: September 22, 2014, 05:03:41 AM »

I have a Pedersoli bounty long barrel pistol with a heavy trigger pull.  It would be nice to have a set trigger for it, but I can't seem to find many options.  Anyone know a source?

Elk Killer,
I don't know how to send a picture, but if you google Pedersoli Bounty Pistol you'll see lots of pics

Thanks

Is this a "fantasy" piece ?   I've never seen anything like it re historical pistols .

Bob,
I agree with u, but I had a caplock "bounty hunter" by Boudini of Italy years ago.  I would strongly doubt they are HC, but they are good shooters.  I want the bounty flinter for hunting too, and those old bucks don't care if they are HC, lol

Me and a buddy bought 4 of those Bounty Hunters, the transfer bar created some issues, but that's a topic for another board.  Once fixed though, everything is O.K.  ;)

I know this is going to stir it up, but in my experience more AD's happen with pistols with set triggers than any other muzzleloader. Long barrels, clumsy grips, and set triggers, are the ticket for becoming known as "Old Three Toes". JMO.

I lost a duel against my brother one time because of the set trigger on my pistol.  I had it set light.  We were required to stand back to back and point our pistols at the sky.  When I tipped mine vertically, the weight of the trigger fired it.  Daryl had lots of time to hit the 'duelling' target, and I was eliminated.
