I'm not sure what I'm seeing.  The description says it's a "48 cal double percussion rifle", but I only see one barrel.  Is this a set up to fire duplex loads from a single barrel?

Ron,
That's a superimposed "double" rifle - one barrel with two charges in it.  The lever ahead of the lock is spring loaded - lowering it engages the front drum - edge of the hammer hits the lever and fires the front charge.  Lift the lever and then fire the rear charge.  It's in very nice shape!
