St. Patrick's Shoot 2015

Terry had her St. Patrick's Day shoot today.  The weather was perfect.  Here is the herd.  I am at left front.

Randy and Kyne.

One target was the split-the-ball on the axe.  I missed.

We had a choice of a large shamrock for one point or a small one for two and then the small leprechaun on the string below.  I hit the small one and the swinger.

We shot (at) the ducks on the string, not the egg.  I missed.  The red target below, shot throuogh the green pipe, shows my bullet mark from the last shoot.  Then another Rube Goldberg flapper, the pot of gold, and a diagonal white pipe.  At far right the three swingers in the barrel and a green leprechaun slider above.

This took a lot of engineering.  The bullet hits the diagonal plate and ricochets into the plate that swings the flag.

I hit all three of these.

The leprechaun slides down a cable on pulleys.  You got to shoot him on the fly.

I hit dead center, but so did a couple of others.

We shot a paper leprechaun, hit anywhere you want.  I chose the left nostril (at least that is where I hit!)

There are three diagonal shots below, plus two rivet holes where he is put together.  A couple missed.

Carney shooting his right-handed flintlock, a smoothbore.

Terry prefers a left-handed flintlock.

Kyne shooting his .69 smoothbore flintlock.  He is also shown in the post about a Sweetheart Shoot, this same board.

Ken is a new shooter, always good to have new people.

I have no photo of me shooting, but I used my .54 Jim Bridger Hawken I built, also shown in the Sweetheart Shoot post below.  I came in second to Kyne there, but won this one with 13 hits out of 16 shots.  Then we had corned beef and cabbage and a lot of good visiting.
