Terry Joy rifles
« on: September 19, 2015, 02:20:52 PM »
Hello I'm looking to see if anyone out there has any rifles made by my dad Terry Joy from New Cumberland WVA.
He made between 20 and 25 guns from the early 60's to the early 80's using Large and Douglas and an occasional Dixie barrels.

He also liked Bob Roller locks and triggers.

He sold most of them at shows like OGCA and various around the tri state area.

My brother and I have his 58 Bill Large barreled hawken and know of another one near by.

He got out of it in the 80's and passed on in 2003 and I know the last was a full stock 50 cal flint with 80 inlays of brass and German silver and a curly maple stock from a 30'' dia tree he cut up.

I know of one that had a German silver cheek piece with an acid etching of a buffalo hunter done by Shaw Leibowitz studios.

It could be a long shot but I would appreciate any info I someone has one or knows of any.

Thanks for your time.

Jim Joy
