Originally I was trying to collect as many military weapons as I coul afford, of all tyoes.
But over the years have wised up a little, I think.
Now just US, and of those, primarily "SPRINGFIELD" made od derived.
I now have quite a few, from a 1772 French musker w/ US surcharge and a Model 1795 Springfield, thru a Springfield Armory M1A1, which is not really a Springfield, but basically a copy of one.
I have more than a few in between those and my major interest is Civil War Springfields.
So if you send me photos I might be able to help you.
I have an 1861 w/ bayonet amonst my plunder.

Depends on your version of "fair" condition, but it is probably around $800-$1,200.
