Last ALR shoot of the year, December 30, 2015.
« on: January 01, 2016, 06:19:20 AM »
Very short notice last minute desperate attempt to get some shooting in before the end of the year brought some ALR nut-jobs together for a fun shoot.

Eric von Aschwege, Bill LePard(Bill 52), Meghan, and Tom Curran (Acer) decided that it was a good a day as any, and to prove to the Canadians, once and for all, that we are no wimps, we shot with snow on the ground, and snot running out our noses.

Bill promised us 42 degrees, but it never got any higher than 27. We had some freezing drizzle and some light flurries. But nothing to prevent us from shooting. What kept us from hitting the targets, I don't know.

Generous Host Bill 52:

Eric firing his recent and beautiful Schroyer:

Acer barking with his .60 beast rifle:

Bill with his handsome Martin Shell:

Eric and Meghan inspecting my rifle.

Meghan telling me 'Ah youze kiddin, dat was not even one little bit close to da bullseye'

Well, I went shooting today -- it was a balmy 37 degrees.  The only thing we New Englanders can promise regarding the weather is that it will change.  Tom, Eric & Meghan, you just left too quickly. ;D

Thanks for the post, Tom - well done.  It's been too long since I've seen you folks.

Taylor and a few stale-warts went out on New Years day to shoot the trail. He says it was only -19 - HA! - The thermometer at my front door, indicated -20 - so I bowed (chickened) out - wish I'd gone, now - Oh well.

Well, well well!  I'm so proud of you guys and gals.  It's a lot easier to do your shooting from the keyboard, eh?
