Here's a shot of the five of us shooting our trail today...very pleasant day above freezing with no wind. Good camaraderie.

Yuk snow!

Looks like fun. I remember when we used to shoot 2X a month on our woods walk range. Of course we weren't all a bunch of old guys back then.....of course that was 30 years ago too... $:-\$ All you old codgers are shooting some pretty fine guns too.

It was a good day's shooting. Everyone made some really great shots & I only broke one target with the old girl! Good thing I was shooting the light 'squib' loads. Was a really nice day, no wind in the trees & with the flat light, the slanted brass bead showed up perfectly. Only dry-balled twice -

The best part of it all, is the get-to-gether at the restaurant for the huge lunch afterwards. Neil on the right usually misses lunch - it shows.

Mike we usually shoot every Sunday from 10 am 'til about 1 or 2 pm - then go for lunch. I appreciate your comment on the rifles...only the second from the right is not one of mine, and it was made by our Herb. Last winter and this one have been so mild that we haven't missed many Sundays, but I haven't presented a picture for a long time. We got less than three feet of snow this winter - pitiful!

I'd like to have that snow here, was prepping our range today for the coming weekend shoot, it was nearly 80 and I got my first tick of the year.

An astute observation about the age factor here: We have precious few young people involved, at least here, in Prince George. We see lots though, and young families, at the big BC Rendezvous end of August in Heffley Creek.

Some day I will get back to Vancouver Island. Used to run up to Campbell River area to go Salmon fishing.

Doug is well known at Rendezvous B.C. He attends every year with coon, (his pet racoon on wheels) - must be 25 years old now and looks 100.

Shot the trail today - Taylor, Len, Neil, Hatchet Jack and yours truly. Wonderfully mild day - above freezing with the sun shining warmly through the trees, melting snow and ice from the limbs above us - almost seemed like rain at times, with the odd wet chunk - great day with the flinters - one flash in the pan, one fail to spark, one remedied with a vent pricking (carbon chunk in vent) and the other with flint napping & re-priming. Used a new rifle, today- even hit a fewe hard ones and of course, missed a few as well. Good time with a hearty lunch afterwards - as usual Neil missed lunch so we'll never get some pounds on him if he keeps doing that.

Green with envy actually. Just like we did here through the 80's and 90's. Best times of my life.
