Where to buy ramrods (hickory)
« on: April 21, 2016, 02:52:53 AM »
If this is in the wrong place please feel free to relocate.
I did a search for Hickory ramrods and basically came up with posts that were several years old so I thought I would ask the question again. Where is a good place to (hopefully) get good straight Hickory ramrods? Is there a trick to buying them as far as quantity goes?  Buy 10 hoping to get 4-5 straight ones? Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thank you,  Longone

I buy ramrod blanks from Steve Bailey an make my own. Every blank he has ever sent me has been good an straight an the grain is perfect. I buy 10 at a time an have bought twice. When I need some more he will be the man I buy from.

I just received my first issue of Muzzle Blasts (having just joined the NMLRA).

In the classifieds section is a listing indicating that Steve Bailey is ceasing production due to health problems, and he indicates that his business is for sale.
