15 of them are spoke for at the moment with about 1/2 dozen guys currently him-hawing.

Beautiful job as always, Mike. I have a rifle with that same barrel and love it. Shoots good, and carries and holds offhand great in the woods. Someone is gonna be happy!

Thanks all. Some of the way it looks is thanks to you guys blabbing away your secrets about scrapers lately. Scraping was especially effective in the carving behind the cheek piece. I have dabbled with scraping before but really decided it was time to use the technique more and I endeavored to perceivier on this one. Used a razor blade. Stained with some of my own aniline dye I have been experimenting with. SCREAMIN' canary yellow for a base coat, and some various browns after that. All stirred with my magic woo-woo stick. Probably should tame the brass back a bit, but the owner can take the patina to the level he desires with a dirty BP patch. I don' think you can see from the pics, but the forestock molding is chip carved like the butt molding is. Went for some real folk funk there. Also it's hard to see the barrel engraving which is a viney sort of thing with berries.....more fun folk funk.
Gun only weighs 7 1/2 lbs.
