I thought some of our members would enjoy seeing this wonderful rifle and display case that was built by one of our members, Marvin Kemper. Marvin built this rifle for the Grouseland Foundation, Vincennes, Indiana. More information regarding this rifle and the Grouseland Foundation can be found on Marvin's website http://libertylongrifles.com

That is worth every penny of the asking price, but it would take several of my Social Security checks to buy it.   :o

  • We all make mistakes.
Seen the rifle first hand. Outstanding craftsmanship.

  • I'm broke, and I blame Mike Brooks!
Marvin is a nice guy to chat with, as well.  He left the corporate world to return to his family gun-building roots.  Gives me ideas for post-retirement!
If it was easy, everyone would do it.

Marvian is a very skilled craftsman in all aspects of his work. The rifle is a beauty to see and the case is exceptional.

After viewing his website, I am in awe of his abilities as a craftsman. He has quite a few of the rifles that he has built beautifully photographed. His craftsmanship and the architecture of his builds appear utterly flawless. It's really worth your time to go to his website and have a look for yourself.
Although I'll never be able to afford one of his rifles. I had a great deal of enjoyment in looking at photographs of some of  his masterpieces.

Saw this wonderful piece at Lexington. Didn't get a chance to speak to Marvin. He was busy talking to others each time I went by. Beautiful photos, even more beautiful in person. Truelly a piece of art.          Bob

I have seen a number of Marvin's rifles in person, including the Grouseland Rifle. His work is second to none, and you won't find a nicer guy.
