2016 fall turkey
« on: December 07, 2016, 01:35:37 AM »
This is my 2016 fall turkey.
I have three maybe four groups of hens and one group of Toms that range over this area.
I have a few areas that have intersections where they travel on the branches or hollows.
sometimes they travel the ridge tops.

I go out in the morning, (not early) and find a nice comfortable place to sit and wait.
Put in a couple of hours and head back home for a late breakfast.
I had planned on afternoon hunts but never made it.

Still can shoot one more.
I plan on Wednesday and Thursday.

Deer hunting starts again on Saturday

Nice! I've got a fall tag but haven't been able to close the deal yet.
I don't hunt the hard way, I hunt a simpler way.

Beautiful picture..Looks dry!  Good eats there..
Those turkey choke barrels hold-throw great patterns.I could almost double my kill zone with one.
Hunt on Pat.

Beautiful picture..Looks dry!

It has been very dry here for a long time.
BUT today it rained ALL DAY. the woods are soaked.

I saw the forecast and headed to town to shop with the boss.
I saw two groups of turkey on the way out and a pair of toms and another small group
of hens on the way back.

I've been busted this year by both deer AND turkey.  You really did it right.  And I really like that gun!
