Noobie here and my 1st post....In addition to RE Davis and Track of the Wolf what are some of the sources that you've gotten your tomahawk materials?
 Thanks,

Reeves Goering
When a nation forgets her skill in war, when her religion becomes a mockery, when the whole nation becomes a nation of money-grabbers, then the wild tribes, the barbarians drive in... Who will our invaders be? From whence will they come?

Dunlap Woodcrafts usually has some curly maple handles, drilled and not.  I second Reeves for hawk head castings.

try doin. a search "handforged tomahawks" and you will get some really good sources.  Tend to be more expensive than cast but since you are thinking of making a hawk it should give you some interesting resources.

Take a look at the new AMERICAN TRADITION magazine. There are a number of "hawks" in it
this time. They will give you a number of types to ponder over.
This is a FINE magazine and it's too bad it's not a monthly publication.
