Lake Cumberland Kentucky Rifle Show question
« on: January 09, 2017, 05:05:12 PM »
Hi folks, I'm considering going to this show for the first time.  I'm in southern Wisconsin, so it's either a ten hour drive or a plane trip and car rental.   I go to the Princeton IL show frequently, and really like it, and have went to the CLA show once.  I'm sure it's more like the Princeton show.  Can those of you who have been to Princeton and the Lake Cumberland show give me some insight as to what I might find there?

Thank you.

The lake cumberland show is a great show. There will be a lot of antique rifles and contemporary items. I think Mel has 60 tables.

I love the Lake Cumberland show, but I cannot tell you anything about any other show except the TN/KY at the old location.

Without consulting maps, I'm not sure where you'd fly in to.  It's going to be a bit of a drive from any airport of commercial nature.  But then 10 hours is a long road trip.

The closest in that area is Lake Cumberland Regional Airport. Most however fly in via Bluegrass in Lexington.

Travlr,
The show is over 30 years old and is related primarily to Ohio made lingrifles and accoutrements.  It is open to the public on Sat & Sun but displayers must be members.  There will be several hundred Ohio rifles on display with a buy,  trade,  sell area available.  Sat evening there is a banquet and Mel Hankla will present George Rogers Clark to the audience.  Reservations are required for the banquet and performance.

Ask for me if you come down.  We'll be at the Lafayette Hotel,  downtown.
