Great little rifle.  They just keep getting better.  Your attention to architecture and detail really shows in the rifles you're building. Keep it up. Tim

Good looking rifle. We could see detail better if it were photographed against a darker background. That light background "fools" the camera and restricts light so that background shows up well in detail, but sacrifices rifle detail. It is hard to get just the right background to provide optimal shutter speed for the rifle. Remember that the camera "sees" the whole frame.

Hi Joe,

That is a very convincing rifle that looks like it was made an hour west of me, but 200 years ago!

A photo of it could be slipped right into Bill Ivey's book and no eyebrows would be raised.

I really appreciate the architecture, including the cheekpiece.

The patchbox is dead on for Piedmont North Carolina.

I also enjoy that the rifle would have been a working rifle versus a showpiece, but the is nothing but grace in the hardware.  Some plain rifles (especially mountain ones) border on "crude", but this one is elegant.

I also like your choice of a GM barrel.  They certainly shoot tiny groups.

Your finishes all compliment the other work.

The rifle has one issue......it isn't mine!   I can envision squirrels falling from trees.

Best wishes, and God Bless,   Marc
