To hang the briquets, we tie sheet rock screws to a string and thread the briquets onto the screw.  It holds the briquets just fine, and replacement briquets are easy to thread on.

I had a woodswalk one time where for one of the targets, a gong at 5 yards, I took a  plastic coffee can lid, cut an X in the middle of it, and shooters had to put their barrel through the X so the lid blocked their view of front site, and pretty much the target.  Really wasn't too hard to hit if you looked at the gong, lifted your gun, kept both eyes open and shot, but it really messed with most of the shooters.

There was a target gong at 50 yards distance. At the firing line, there was a plywood board standing about 5' high, with 5  or 6 holes at different heights, from within about 10" of the top, right down to about 12" off the ground and all numbered.  You drew a number from a hat and had to shoot at the gong, through the corresponding #'erd hole.

There are lots of people to help the old folks up and down.
