I took my Pedersoli double barreled shotgun out of storage where it has been for 6 years and noticed some oil leakage in the seam between the breech plug and the barrel. Is this normal? I have not noticed this on any of my rifles.

I am not sure, but it is a good reason to store your guns muzzle down.  That way the oil cannot migrate into the stock and make it punkish.  Many guns have been ruined by oil ruining the stock.  Good luck with that question.  Best wishes, and God Bless,   Marc

Is it possible that the oil is seeping between the breech plug threads and barrel? Or just coming from around the nipple?

The oil could be coming from the nipple area but I don't see oil anywhere around the nipple just around the seam. I'll put some oil down the barrels and keep an eye on it.

My guess is the oil is seeping out of the breech plug threads.
