Simple little hunting bag
« on: July 24, 2017, 06:04:50 PM »
It was too hot to work outside yesterday, so I made a little hunting bag to go with my plain southern rifle I just finished, and the horn I made to go with it.

The leather was from some cowhide I had laying around. I made the D rings by sawing off a strip of 1/8" iron, and bending to shape.

It's just big enough to hold a few .40 cal balls, some patches, a tin of tallow, and a couple flints.

As in life; it’s the journey, not the destination. How you get there matters most.

Straight forward and unadorned, maybe; but simple, I don't know.  You do great work, my friend.

All of us should be so talented to just whip something together in an afternoon of that quality.

Nice work !
