C.V. Heilen

I acquired this Pennsylvania full stock long rifle as a teenager passing through Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 1956. Cost me $39.00...all I had saved from caddying and lawn mowing. It's originally percussion, plain walnut stock, 42" .45 calibre heavy barrel. Original rammer with cleaning worm in the patchbox. Bore's good and it's capable of six-inch groups at 100 yards over a sandbag, handicapped by me behind the sights .Stamped atop the barrel is: "C.V. HEILEN   CARLISLE". I'd guestimate 1840s or a tad later.
I've never found anything relating to this gun maker. Can anyone help me with information on him or on this piece?  Thanks!

The only information Whiskers has posted is that he was in Carlisle from 1870 to 1890.
