Tobacco Box
« on: December 02, 2017, 11:20:51 PM »
Had a small horn with good color but not big enough so I decided to try this. Lid and base are maple from good friend,Woody. Acorn finial is from some old brass rod that I turned to shape.
Tansel style eagle with aqua fortis coloring to set off several areas of the eagle. Metal pins hold it in place.

Boy, I'll say it's well done. Very nice. Would make a great Christmas gift and conversation piece, even a tobacco box.   :)

Nice work Ron, that's a neat looking box. I really like how you colored the scrimshaw/engraving work, it's really an interesting piece.
