Curved inletting chisel?

I think I remember someone posting about making a curved inletting chisel quite a while ago, but I've searched and can't find anything about it.  And then again, I could be remembering something that never happened, which is more and more the case since I rounded 60.  Anyone remember that, have such a critter, or know how to make one?  Inletting tight curves is a killer for me.

There are commercially made ones that are sort of spoon shaped.

I don't know if this is what you are looking for but I didn't have  a correct sized gouge to inlet the nose of my Late Ketland lock so I made one out of a concrete nail. It cuts a perfect inlet

Made the 3 on the left from O1.  Simply filed to shape, polished, hardened, tempered, and hafted.

The ones Justin posted a link to are usually refered to as "dog leg" chisels I believe. I have an 1/8" one I like a lot for working in spaces like a lock mortise where it can be tricky to get at with a straight chisel..

Those are some fine chisel's Rich! Did you use old brass shell casings for your "hilts" on those?

Well, I remembered it correctly but forgot I started the thread! I think that means something, but I don't know what. Someone needs to market those chisels.

Pfeil makes every configuration of gouge imaginable.  At least one of them should fill your needs.  Woodcraft carries them all.
