Nice rifle, I'm real sure it's George Jr.  I have a Sr., and they have very different styles. Shumway's has a book on the Schroyers and this gun is similar to Jrs.' work.
Done right is better than done fast.

Not a bad rifle. Looks honest but as Brent says it don't compare well to the work of George senior..

The rifle looks like it may be a restock of an earlier Schroyer barrel and patchbox...butt architecture, cheekpiece and carving all vary greatly from Schroyer's known work. No volutes on either side of the cheek, no typical Schroyer fleur-de-lis at tang, rear pipe, etc. That's why I think the gun has been posted for quite a while without generating interest.
