running hound shaped folding pocket knife
« on: February 09, 2018, 02:14:58 AM »
Kyle at Dominion Forge made a couple of these running hound folding knives a few years back. He told me he no longer makes them. I am interested in having one made. Does anyone know a reputable someone that would make one for me? I have studied them a bit and have some ideas on a couple subtle changes to Kyles design. I have pictures of his version. Not sure on how to post them here, and anyways I don't want to infringe on any photo copyrights by posting them but I have no problem emailing them.

thanks gents!

Got a Pic. Right off the top of my head I would say touch base with Brian Barker, he is here.

thanks. I fell in love with Kyle Willyards running dog folder a few years back and regret passing on buying one from him back then.

I want it to be mostly historically correct but feel the need to include a discreet locking function. I have a drawing for the simple modifications but its not been tested in any way. I might build myself a prototype out of wood to test my concept. I am not a knife maker or a flintlock gun builder-- I just like running the woods with them. Not sure if I can accomplish even the prototype but I did a fair to-scale drawing for reference.
