Shooting Bag
« on: March 04, 2018, 03:41:14 AM »
Just finished up this shooting bag for a special young lady. It's about 7x7.5 with a guest and an adjustable strap.  It's to go with her new rifle.... if I ever get it finished.

That’s a beautiful bag...I’m sure she’ll be proud to wear it...I sure would!  The only problem I see is that with a bag that nice, the rifle is sure gonna have to be fancy...

Thank you gentlemen.   It has a center divider and a small inner hanging pocket.  The photos were taken before I had rubbed in some mink oil, was trying to get some good photos before it started to rain again.  It's now a few shades darker.  The colors turned out nice.
As for her rifle.......  I have David Rase helping me out on that...... It's looking good so far ;)

Very, Very, nice. Can we see a rear and side view, please? Is the leather on  outer surface of the flap sewn around another piece of leather with the lining on it, or do the edges just fold around the edge of the fabric liner?

Thanks for sharing,
Dave

Dave...   the front flap is one layer of thin leather with the lettering stitched in it, a thicker piece of leather with the liner folded over the edges, these two are then sewn together with the trim sewn to the front, rolled over the edge to the back  and sewn again showing the stitching.  I hope that helps,  here are the other photos you requested...

Your work just keeps getting better Chris. Can't wait to see it in person next weekend. Put it on the W.H.G.G. table if you want to display it.

Steve...  I'll see if Lori will turn in loose long enough to display it,  might bring her rifle along too.

That's really nice, but for a lady maybe it needs some bling on it too. Maybe a piece or two of silver, or some beads strung onto the dangles.

Nice work. My wife could have used that with those initials had she not gone and married me ; )
