Working on  flash hole liner. Do you folks counter bore the back side to shorten the path through the no 49 hole. Dan

What Mike said.  And get it directly from Jim Chambers because there are aftermarket knockoffs going by the same name.

To answer your question, yes, the inside of the liner is coned, kind of bell shaped. I too highly recommend the  touch hole liners sold by Jim Chambers only.

The liners I use are stainless steel, although not from Chambers.  They do come coned on the inside; but I will usually open the cone a bit more before installing.  Being that the flash holes are very small, I drill all mine out with a 1/16" drill bit; ignition is ultra reliable.

Oops got um done befor I read the post. I think I’ll taper ream them or run an1/8 ball nose end mill in them
