Knives in the Meantime
« on: May 07, 2018, 06:18:37 PM »
While waiting to take my 1850's era hunting dagger back to Boston so I can weld a new tang on, I finished up this little Keeslar flared finger guard hunting knife with antler scales OAL 7 1/2 inches with 3 1/2 inch blade of 1084 carbon steel.  Other one walnut with turquoise inlay...tippit

Very nice sir.  I like the Brut de forge style that Keeslar does.  I will have to try one.  Do you start by setting the ricasso/tang joint first or draw the blade out then set it?

Those two knives look like they would fit well in the hand and be conformable to use. Great look also 8) ;).
