Robert Harvey signed lock
« on: May 13, 2018, 12:59:37 PM »
Does anyone have more information on lock maker Robert Harvey mentioned in thread below?

I am especially interested to find if he or his family ever moved to VA. I have Robert Harvey ancestor that was involved with guns, gunpowder during the Rev War in Botetourt. County VA. There is mention of him being a gun maker but I have not been able to prove it.

Dennis,

Had a look at Blackmore's book, and can't see a Harvey who emigrated to the US.
Will check the Supplement later.  I have seen other makers who took leave for foreign climes though.

Will do some digging as time permits.
