Tapered Barrel Source?

I want a tapered barrel for a project.  45 cal, 1" to 7/8" taper, (possibly 1-13/16") and about 36" long.  I was told that the  Oregon  Barrel Company is not currently making any barrels.  Does anyone else make lighter tapered barrels?

Don't know who told you that, but barrel making is their business.    I suggest you call The Gun works and ask them.  541-741-4118.  I had them make two barrels for me and they do very good work.  Web site is thegunworks.com.

Another recommendation for Charlie's barrels from me.  I have several barrels from him including two light tapered barrels.  Nothing against Rice barrels, I have a number of those also.

They did, their barrel maker had a stroke.

Rice does not list any straight taper barrels.  http://ricebarrels.com/chart.html

Neither does Burton, http://fcibarrels.tripod.com/rifle-barrels.html

Are you saying that they do straight tapered at a reasonable cost, but just don't list them?
