I recently completed this copy of an 18th Century British Officers Gorget.Thanks to a member here who provided photo's of the original a while back.

I gave your facebook a visit,...it aint your first time working sliver. I remember seeing those snuff/ tobacco boxes,...they are some of my favorite items ive seen posted. Great eye on all that stuff.

Thanks guys each one I make gets a little better and a little closer to the originals.

Yes the raised area is a simple form of repose .....The item is set in pitch and the metal is pushed out from the back.
