A William Turvey wreck
« on: October 03, 2018, 07:16:00 PM »
Inspired by Pukka's thread, I thought I'd post some photos of my similar William Turvey pistol bought last year in a British auction. The trigger guard is replaced although I suspect a very long time ago, perhaps when it was converted. No effort was made to obscure the original inlet.

I like it Joe, and think that trigger-guard has been on there a long time.
The decoration is in keeping, so I think I'd leave it there.

It too must have had a  good 100 year working life as well  I'd think.
I do like the open sideplate, Nice early style.

I have not seen exactly  the same  grotesque mask as  on this  butt.

Very pleased you showed it to us Joe.  Thank you!
