Kibler’s Southern Mountain Rifle
« on: October 08, 2018, 06:16:32 AM »
Here we are at the Baptist Mission in Alaska beginning our construction of the Kibler rifles through a grant we received from the NRA. These fine Dad and son/daughter teams have never handled a flintlock before yet alone built one. They are coming along fine for 3 hours of work.  We are going to,put them all on display when they get done and have us a first ever flintlock shooting match on the island. Not exactly the thing that comes to mind when you think of ministry but I see great potential in doing things like this to get folks in the door.

That's great stuff.  That second gun in from the left sure looks skinny.  No bear hunts with that one I would guess.....  LOL

Keep up the good work.

I wish you all were here too.  Talking about how the world as we know it was shaped by flintlocks and then discussing Romans 10:9 before we started working was  something I enjoyed.  I have made 43 rifles and I am very impressed with these Kibler guns. Most of these folks had never actually seen a flintlock.

What a great program. I hope and pray that you have many safe and pleasant hours building rifles and young Christians. Please keep us posted of the groups progress and making smoke.

Congratulations on such a great project. The kids will always remember the good time involved building the rifles and will always treasure the rifle as long as they live.

An opportunity not often seen in this day and age. Great for family relations and gives Christian fathers a chance to work with their sons and daughters and discuss Gods blessings with them in a direct example of them showing their abilities and gifts. Also, a good time to discuss the Gospel and it’s blessings in a loving way as they work together as a team. Wish this could happen all over the country! Good on you guys for persuing this once in a lifetime opportunity and build families in a Godly way.

Smylee Grouch: we award the two hats you sent as prizes next week. Mountainman70 : if you want to be a part of this we could use a about a 100 45 cal rbs. Or a handful of rifle flints. Both are unobtainable here locally. Thanks for all the nice words guys.
